The Noordhollander

The Noordhollander is one of the most fertile sheep.
The breed is arised in 1974 by crossing the texel sheep and the finnish sheep.

The Noordhollander has the exterior of a production sheep. It are wide well developed animals with strong legs and a good udder. It are strong animals with an average life span of 8 years.

High fertility is one of the most important characteristics. Three and four lambs are normal. Thereby the sheep do not give many problems by lambing, they have good mother properties and they give so much milk that they can feed a triplet well.
